Peter Brugger, professor in neuropsychology in the University Hospital of Zürich (Switzerland) is joining PARIS-team as an associate member. We are pleased and honored to welcome Peter.
Peter has always been interested in how chance and randomness affect behavior and thought, both in animals and human beings. A specialty is the pitfalls of sequential randomness in the scenario of guessing (e.g. in parapsychology experiments) and the proclivity to “see” meaning in random configurations (which is pronounced for believers in the paranormal). In more recent times, Peter and colleagues have established the method of random number generation as a means to explore the embodied nature of numerical representations.
