Mathieu Vidal

I am a researcher in the Laboratoire Cognitions Humaine et Artificielle (CHArt) and also associate researcher in the Laboratoire Philosophie, Pratiques & Langages (PPL). I am also working as  computer scientist at CS Communication & Systèmes.

Area of interest

My main speciality is the use of non-classical logics to model the way we speak, reason or act.  I use psychological experiments and tools issued from computer science to build mathematical and philosophical analyzes of linguistic phenomena like our use of conditionals and aspects. When the models correspond to the experimental data, we have found an explanation of the way we talk, reason and behave.

Reasoning, judgement, decision-making, rationality, epistemology.
